July machinery orders, what a reading!

July machinery orders leaped 48.7 % in real terms year on year with domestic demand advancing 39.0 % and foreign demand 53.0 %. Particular strength occurred from third countries, which derives from the fact the European orders ?only? advanced 30.0 %.

Highest quarter on quarter German GDP growth since the leveraged buy-out of the German Democratic Republic back in 1989

German July labour market - solid development - further improvement cooking - private consumption will do the trick.

In July seasonally adjusted unemployment fell 20.000 people matching expectations (Bloomberg). The unemployment rate reached 7.6 % down one tenth of a point when compared to the previous months. Employment, which lacks unemployment statistics by a month, rose a further 25.000 to 40.359 million people.[more]
